Philippe Carly is best known for his superb images of Joy Division and in particular, lan Curtis. We are pleased to bring you two stunning images from the band's concert of October 1979 at Plan K in Brussels, a venue intricately connected with Joy Division in Belgium.

Carly says of Plan K: "It's hard to imagine a band and a venue more intricately connected in Belgium than Joy Division and Plan K. It was the place to be, the place where we were.

Only after did we find out how lucky we'd been to be there. Much like the CBGB, only less publicised. By a amusing twist of fate, the Plank K was located on Rue de Manchester in Brussels. I don't think you can consider this a coincidence."
