Frustration (unsigned)

£30.00

In 1969, Architectural Review invited Tim Rock to guest edit a series of articles about the state of Britain at the end of the decade. The series, Manplan, focused on people, not buildings, and on the effects of the built environment on society. Manplan’s humanist manifesto covered education, health, transport, housing, the economy and leisure. Patrick Ward was awarded the photo assignment for the first issue. His brief, titled Frustration, was to travel the UK photographing the ‘breaking points’ of society. This book brings Manplan to a new audience.
